Paramotoring Assessment Course Details Updated

ASSESSMENTS SUSPENDED DUE TO VOLUME OF BOOKINGS AND WEATHER CONDITIONS, REVISIT FOR UPDATES. THANKS

This service is specifically tailored for pilots who have been paramotoring for some time but have not attended any formal training courses or who have attended training courses .This course will take approx 1 - 2 days depending on the weather as usual.

In this course you will be taken through the following stages: 

  • Practical demonstration of your skills and complete the practical  tasks as per the syllabus.

  • Theoretical check list of paramotoring training syllabus to be completed.  Syllabus details are available here http://www.paramotoring.ie/TRAINING%20SYLLABUS.htm dont let it put you off ,its not that difficult.

  • On successful completion of the above you will then sit multiple choice question exam.

    It is assumed that this particular category of pilot has attained a rating in paragliding which is at least (Para Pro2/ EP++) with logged flying experience and has hours logged in flying under power. On successful completion of the above the applicants paperwork will be forwarded to the IAA Licensing section for processing to a national power licence/exemption. Please note that all applications for national power licence will also require a current class 2 medical cert.

    The Irish Powered Paragliding & Hang gliding Association will on application issue your membership card that will reflect your new rating which is granted by the IAA ( Irish Aviation authority ).
