Midland "Paragliding Training"
On your first day Paragliding we normally meet at the Topaz filling station on the Waterford road Clonmel at 10.30 a.m. and after a brief introduction we usually move to the schools main paragliding site in the Comeragh mountains nearby.
Your paragliding lessons starts at about 11am with a weather check to determine which part of the site we will use.
After a general briefing on how the day should progress we complete the paper work. This consists of the IPPHA MEMBERSHIP and going through your insurance details, and then the IPPHA STUDENT TRAINING RECORD BOOK. Required for all paragliding training carried out in Ireland and kept by the school to record your completed training exercises.
From these records we can analyse and discuss your progress each time you come out training.
Midland "Paramotor Training"
On your first day Paramotoring we normally meet in Tipperary Town at 10.30 am.
Just like our paragliding training, after a general briefing on how the day should progress we complete the paper work. This consists of the IPPHA MEMBERSHIP and going through your insurance details, and then the IPPHA PPG STUDENT TRAINING RECORD BOOK. Required for all powered paragliding training carried out in Ireland and kept by the school to record your completed training exercises.
From these records we can analyse and discuss your progress each time you come out training.
Then after a weather briefing we decide what phase of instruction is best suited to the prevailing weather conditions.
If the weather conditions are to windy or damp it could be theory and classroom sessions at our training facility, if conditions are favorable for the outdoors then we will begin hands on practical instruction on all aspects of PPG wings and PPG motors, site assessment, site safety, weather assessment, airlaw, pre-flight checks glider, pre-flight checks motor, flying with others, etc…………………..
