Once
you are a qualified pilot we can service your needs with all the
paragliding & paramotoring equipment you will need from the latest
gliders & paramotors to general flying accessories such as gloves,
helmets, videos, DVD's, sunglasses, flying suits, harnesses, reserve
parachutes and electronic wizardry.
Buying and choosing your first paraglider or paramotor can be
very difficult. The performance of intermediate paragliders today would
have been the envy of top competition pilots only a few years ago .
Every year the designs of intermediate gliders are improving, giving
better handling, performance and safety. It is important to get a
trusted pilot's opinion if you are thinking of buying second-hand
equipment, often what seems a good deal can end up costing you more than
a new glider when your second hand bargain proves impossible to sell
when you want to upgrade. New designs have a higher resale value so it's
important to consider more factors than the initial purchase price.
Purchasing your first Paramotor is a serious investment & can
be a minefield as some brand names have little or no quality control or
have not been assessed by independent sources ie.
DULV
, National Aviation
Authority etc for their safety in use, quality of construction (welds),
quality of materials used in construction, quality of harness ,props
etc.... . Some units have been best described as slapped together with
little or no R & D (research and design) before been sold on to
the innocent end user (we can be the test rig ) not a great buy and
potentially lethal, as for resale value the end user is the loser again.
When buying second-hand paramotors try to get the history of what the
unit has been subjected to by approaching local schools, instructors,
clubs, forums etc before you part with your cash or buy from a
recognised school that sources quality motors with a known service
history. SAFE FLYING
At Midland Paragliding, we are not tied to any one manufacturer and are
committed to placing the requirements of the pilot first. We are able to
provide unbiased advice on most popular canopies on the market. We are
proud to be the main importers for the best top brand names.
We offer our customers
only the top brand names of paraglider equipment, these
companies are at the cutting edge of quality, performance and service,
ensuring you the customer are getting only the best.
Some
dealers are motivated by a particular manufacturers profit margin rather
than providing a glider to match your specific needs. The differences
between gliders of different manufacturers aimed at the same pilot level
can be huge. This can vary from safety and performance characteristics
to the more personal handling characteristics. Performance figures are
often wildly exaggerated by manufacturers. Handling does vary
considerably, and it is only by flying a number of different gliders
that a worthwhile assessment can be made
